The Moore College Department of External Studies and the Anglican Education Commission are pleased to offer a special training arrangement. The Diploma of Biblical Studies by Intensives. This arrangement will provide teachers and co-coordinators in Anglican Schools with an opportunity to:

• Enhance their understanding of the Bible
• Become better equipped to teach education Christianly:
• Especially to teach Christian Studies to primary and secondary students.

Development Seminars

We are delighted to offer the following half-day seminars to educators and organizational leaders in New South Wales. These seminars are intended to train attendees in analyzing current issues, develop skills for teaching and leadership, and provide an understanding of the Christian faith and its relevance to a wide range of social, cultural, philosophical and ethical issues. Ideal for School Staff Development Days, these seminars are a combination of lecturing, small group work, audiovisual presentations and mediated question times. We aim to equip attendees not only with advanced knowledge of the topic under consideration, but also ideas and resources for using this knowledge in educational contexts. We are taking requests for these seminars now. Please make your seminar request as soon as possible.

Short Courses in Christian Education

The National Institute for Christian Education and the Anglican Education Commission are offering short courses in Christian education that are designed specifically to help you in your mission to do education Christianly.

• Certificate of Christian Education CCE
• Certificate of Christian Education (Biblical Studies teachers) CCE (Biblical Studies)
• Advanced Certificate of Christian Education ACCE

The Certificate of Christian Education CCE is an award granted to successful participants in an introductory course on Christian education. The course includes historical, theological and philosophical elements and gives participants an understanding of the: development of Christian schooling in Australia; biblical basis and worldview implications. The certificate course is suitable for all staff and parents of a Christian school community.

Advanced Certificate of Christian Education ACCE, is awarded to students who successfully complete our two core units (Biblical Foundations of Christian Education and Worldviews in Education). On completion of these units students may go on to complete a GradDipEd, or MEd. The ACCE is a significant milestone indicating that substantial study at post-graduate level in Christian education has been achieved.
